Cómo leer esta cifra. Se publica para todos los estadios combinados, así que es un promedio de todas las personas de los datos del registro nacional y no un pronóstico para una persona. En la mayoría de los cánceres, el estadio en el momento del diagnóstico es el factor único más determinante de las diferencias de supervivencia: la supervivencia suele ser mayor cuando el cáncer se detecta en un estadio más temprano y menor cuando se detecta más tarde. Las comparaciones entre cánceres también dependen de con qué antelación o retraso suele diagnosticarse cada uno, así que una cifra más baja no significa por sí sola peor atención.
La cifra es de supervivencia relativa: compara a las personas diagnosticadas de este cáncer con personas de la misma edad y sexo de la población general, y está estandarizada por edad, así que no es la proporción de pacientes que siguen vivos a los cinco años. Se publica como un valor estimado (análisis híbrido) porque los informes de los registros llegan con retraso, así que el Centro Nacional del Cáncer modeló el período más reciente. Como contexto, la misma fuente publica una supervivencia relativa a cinco años del 43,7% para todos los cánceres combinados en 2019–2021.

No es un listado pagado ni promocionado.
Cómo se seleccionaron estos hospitales
Inclusión. Un hospital se lista para una enfermedad cuando la especialidad en la que esta se clasifica cumple al menos una de estas condiciones: un puesto o una nominación en el ranking de reputación por especialidad de hospitales de la Universidad de Fudan; un registro de especialidad clínica clave nacional de nivel A, B o C; o un centro nacional de investigación clínica o un laboratorio estatal clave en esa especialidad. La acreditación JCI se muestra como distintivo; nunca decide la inclusión ni el orden.
Orden. Paso 1: un puesto de Fudan entre 1 y 10 en la especialidad. Paso 2: otro puesto de Fudan, o una nominación. Paso 3: una especialidad clínica clave nacional de nivel A. Paso 4: una especialidad clínica clave nacional de nivel B. Paso 5: un centro nacional de investigación clínica o un laboratorio estatal clave en la especialidad, primero el centro y luego el laboratorio. Paso 6: una especialidad clínica clave nacional de nivel C, que es un registro que publicamos sin una fuente oficial independiente y que por eso se lista después de los demás.
Empates. Dentro de un mismo paso: primero el puesto de Fudan más alto, luego el nivel de especialidad clave más fuerte (A antes que B antes que C), luego la provincia, luego la ciudad y luego el nombre del hospital, el mismo orden provincia-ciudad-nombre que usa el directorio de hospitales. Se listan como máximo ocho hospitales.
Cuando la lista es corta. Cinco hospitales o más: se listan los ocho primeros. Tres o cuatro: se listan todos y un pliegue adicional añade los registros restantes hasta ocho, cada uno con su nivel de evidencia. Uno o dos: lo mismo, con ese pliegue abierto y una línea que indica cuántos hospitales tienen un historial público sólido. Ninguno: la página declara que no se encontró ningún historial público sólido y enlaza al directorio de especialidades. Nunca se inventa un puesto, una institución ni un recuento para rellenar la lista.
